How to Make Network Cables

This time I will discuss how to create a wired network, as a network administrator was required to have the ability to assemble the cable because it can not be called a network admin komputen if it turns out you have not mastered how to make network cable.
First you should know that there are two types of network cable, which straigt cable and a crossover cable. Straigt used to connect computers on a network using the aid hub / switch (star topology). While Crossover cables are used to connect two client directly, or one computer to the router.
The few things that should be at the ready to make its own cable network:

  • UTP Cable: You can buy a type CAT5 or CAT6
  •  Plug RJ-45 : Plug RJ is a connector that connects to the ethernet cable or slot of the hub, switch, or Access Point.
  •  Crimping tool : is a tool to install the RJ45 connector to the cable.
  •  Cutter/gunting : used for cutting and smoothing out the cable wrap, not a small cable inside.
  •  Tester Jaringan : function to test whether the cable to work properly or not.

Once all the equipment is ready, here's how to make network cable :

  1. Cut UTP cabling as required, the maximum cable length 100 meters because the longer the cable, the LOS (Loss of Signal) higher.
  2. Peel the skin of each cable end 1 cm long.
  3. Sort colors according to the designation. For straight, both ends are color to White Orange - Orange - White Green - Blue - White Blue - Green - White Chocolate - Chocolate. For a crossover cable, one end is White Orange - Orange - White Green - Blue - White Blue - Green - White Chocolate - Chocolate, while at the other end White Green - Green - White Orange - White Chocolate - Brown - Orange - Blue - white Blue.
  4. Spruce up small cables and averaged.
  5. Now direct input cable and RJ-45 plug that has disatkan the plug krimper and hit quite powerful.
Cable is ready to use, if any cable checker tool, you can use.
